How to add a blog badge to your blog

I'm not sure I'm going to discuss how to make a blog badge (because that's quite technical and varies a lot depending on what you want your blog badge to look like). I'm happy to do it for you (it takes seconds for me really) - obviously I'll do it for free!

But I thought, I could do a tutorial on how to add a blog badge to your blog.

Let's imagine you wanted to add my badge to your blog to show your readers my blog is worth reading. You can do this for any blog badge, really.

It's really easy, just follow the steps below.

How to add a blog badge to your blog

Step 1
Upload the badge that you want to link to somewhere (you could create a new post, upload the badge into the post, click on the image, click on 'Edit link' and copy the text in there' and then discard the post)

Step 2
Click on 'Design' for your blog

Step 3
On the page elements overview, locate your sidebar and click on 'Add a Gadget'

Step 4
In the next window please select the 'HTML/JavaScript' widget/gadget.

Step 5
Give the widget a title like 'Blogs you may like' or whatever

Step 6
Copy the code below.

Replace www.thewebsite.com with the address of the blog that you want to link to and replace the thedirecturltothebadge to the direct address of the badge. So if you were to add my badge to your blog it would be:

Step 7

Save the widget

Step 8

Move it to wherever you want it in the sidebar.

Voila, you are done!
